The updated city ordinance contains a provision that if a homeowner can prove they have a functional septic system (verified for functionality by a New Hampshire Septic System Certified Evaluator), properly designed (by a New Hampshire Septic System Certified Designer), and properly installed (by a New Hampshire Septic System Certified Installer) after January 1, 1985, then you are eligible for the waiver and can apply to the Department of Public Works in writing.
